What did you get done this year?

Launching Elon Email

Sup nerds,

Today I’m excited to launch my 2nd software.

It’s called Elon Email.

“Wtf is Elon Email?!?!”

Remember when Elon was taking over Twitter and he emailed the CEO of Twitter Parag Agrawal saying “What did you get done this week?”

Well, this email stuck with me and a lot of my friends in Silicon Valley. The email became a meme and a rallying cry in tech to get more shit done.

What did you get done this week?????

I may have taken this idea too a bit too seriously…

A couple months ago, I had a realization while talking with some friends: I love asking ChatGPT for business advice, but I never remember to actually do it.

Now what if there was a pro-active AI business coach that checked in on me every week? Something to keep me accountable and track my progress building my empire. It could have a database where I could see my progress every single week!!! And what if this AI business coach was a simple email that says “What did you get done this week?”

So I built this: Elon Email.

A weekly 1-on-1 with Elon Musk

Every Sunday night for the last month, I’ve been getting a weekly email from Elon Musk saying “What did you get done this week?”

I take a few minutes to write back with everything I got done that week: new revenue metrics, a list of the new features I shipped, new employees onboarded, number of workouts, exciting calls and collaboration opportunities, etc. I

Then an AI trained on Elon would give me tailored advice.

The crazy thing?

It’s working, it’s keeping me productive, and making me more money.

Last month, I told “Elon” that I had a ton of free trials and am only charging $6.9/mo for my meme marketing software so Elon told me I was leaving money on the table!

Here’s what “Elon” said:

I took Elon’s advice around upselling, launched a Memes-as-a-Service plan, and made $30,000 in under a week. Boom! Thank you Elon!

Another example.

I told Elon about how I added $2,200 MRR with zero calls using only DMs and Looms. Then Elon gave me advice to double it with higher leverage.

Added more SEO pages with funnels already getting signups, added a cold outbound guy to my team, and started planning out advertising for H1.

Boom! Thank you Elon!

Why Elon Email works:

So here’s the kicker.

Why does Elon Email work?

I didn’t make the weekly Elon Email a normal nice friendly AI…

Nope, that’s lame.

Who the fuck wants a nice AI friend to make you feel good?

No, I wanted something more like an AI enemy or a sensei. I wanted an AI that would challenge me and push me: my own personal Elon screaming at me to work harder and think harder and build more. This ain’t your average AI chatbot or AI girlfriend.

I prompted the AI to be as savage as Elon.

The harsh advice has already been tremendously helpful.

Plus I have a private database on elonemail.com of all my conversations programmatically added with Elon to track how I’m doing over time. Am I hitting my goals? Am I getting more shit done???

Now I know this all sounds crazy. Maybe I seem like a bit of an Elon dickrider, but it’s helping me and if it works, it works, right? Or maybe I just sound like I drank too much of the AI fruit-punch and entered real-life Black Mirror. I mean why the hell am I talking to a fake AI I named Elon Musk in my email???

Am I insane? Well, yes. Obviously.

Every entrepreneur is slightly insane. You’ve gotta be a bit insane to deal with the risk. and fear of it all. So that’s why I called up some of my entrepreneur friends to try it out.

Meet 18-year old writer and entrepreneur Jay Yang.

By age 16, Jay grew his audience to 50k+ readers by waking up at 4 AM every morning before school. At 17, he became as Head of Content for AppSumo founder Noah Kagan. Now 18, Jay now has 150k+ followers and is writing his first book.

Jay was the first person I called to test out Elon Email and has been super helpful for feedback. He is a true grinder’s grinder and the perfect beta tester.

Here’s what he said:

Having Jay test it out made me realize maybe I’m not crazy…!!

So I built Elon Email into a real product.

And over the last couple weeks, I started getting more entrepreneur friends signed up to try it out. On Friday night, I tweeted announcing I was launching a second software and a bunch of people DMed me to sign up.

And here’s what some of my new users said:

How to sign up:

Ready to get more shit done in 2025?

In the spirit of all of humanity getting more shit done, the weekly “What did you get done this week?” Elon Email is currently FREE.

I found this weekly email so helpful I wanted a daily “What did you get done” email!!!

If you want access to the DAILY “What did you get done?” email, a database of all your conversations, and more features coming soon (ex. connections with Stripe, Whoop, etc.), the price is currently $29/month (less than 1 cup of coffee per day).

It’s time to go Elon Mode.

FAQ:

Why are you building this?

Like my first software, I built Elon Email to solve my own problems.

I have 5 employees, a dozen revenue streams, and a ton of work to do. I needed something to make sure I’m focusing on the highest leverage use of my time.

That’s why a few months ago, I set up a call with a business coach for $200/hour.

But when I asked her what businesses she has successfully built, she paused and went suspiciously quiet... I don't think anyone had ever asked that before.

So that’s why I’m building this.

Imagine an AI trained on Elon who also remembers all your data about your business and your week-to-week progress. A nice Elon-style "Go Fuck Yourselves" to the business coach grifters. And a nice "Let's go fuck shit up!!!!" email to all my entrepreneur homies to go make that bread and build internet empires together.

What’s the long-term vision here?

The goal is a pro-active AI business coach that syncs with an entrepreneur’s most important benchmarks and data (ex. Stripe, GitHub, QuickBooks, Linear, Whoop, etc.).

It’s impossible to track everything manually by yourself. Are you making more sales? Are you saving money? Are you shipping new features? Who knows? And oh yeah, are you remembering to sleep and exercise????

Why email???

Email is an entrepreneur’s to-do list.

Nobody wants an extra app or website or chatbot to go to. We're already in our emails all week. It's natural. Elon Email feels so natural like how an AI assistant should be, you’re straightup just emailing back and forth with Elon.

PLUS receiving an email from Elon is weird and easily shareable (you can forward it to friends or screenshot it on social media). Perfect for going viral.

Cheers to getting more shit done in 2025 nerds.
